The Privacy & Identity Lab (aka the PI.lab) was founded on November 11, 2011 as a collaboration between Radboud University Nijmegen (RU), Stichting Internet Domeinregistratie Nederland (SIDN), Tilburg Institute of Law, Technology, and Society (TILT) and TNO. Aim of this collaboration was to found a multidisciplinary, national and international centre of expertise for research and innovation in the area of digital privacy and identity. SIDN provides financial support for this initiative for a period of four years, i.e. until the end of 2015.
